BRAZOS VALLEY ART LEAGUE
February 2007 Newsletter
The
2007 Year has gotten off to a great start. We
have a wonderful show still hanging in the Texas
Gallery. See the Winners listed elsewhere in the
Newsletter. We have some great artists in our
league!
We are currently making plans for a trip to the
Museum of Fine Art Houston to view the
The Masterpieces of French Painting from The
Metropolitan Museum of Art. Watch for more
information on this trip in the very near
future.
I have sent out Scholarship Applications to 19
Brazos Valley High Schools. If you know of a
talented young person interested in the arts,
please encourage them to apply. We give two
$1,000.00 Scholarships.
Our Committee for the Summer Program for
Children is moving forward with great plans for
Classes in June. Barbara Gholson is heading up
this great program and will be happy to hear
from anyone who is interested in teaching or
being an assistant. This is all a new venture
and hopefully it will be a great success and
lead to greater plans in the future.
