October and November has been great months for BVAL!

The Fall Juried Show was a wonderful success. We have so many talented artist in the BVAL. Barbara Gholson has done a great job of chairing the shows. Also, our new publicity chairperson, Laurie Grawl, is doing a fine job of letting the Brazos Valley know that we are here.

We had a fun paint day October 25. I brought copies of a snapshot of a Magnolia blossom and everyone painted the same picture. It was so interesting to see the different methods and mediums. and such a variety of style. We will have a paint day once each quarter. The next Paint Day is planned for January 24. I hope we can have a large turn out, the more the merrier!

The Luncheon on November 8 at Calvert Inn was very nice, though it was a small group. It is too bad that there were not more there for the wonderful meal and great fellowship.

Your Board is working hard to provide a variety of events for you to be part of. Don't miss out on the opportunity to be involved in some of these. We are trying to provide for a variety of interest. I would love to hear any ideas or suggestions that you might have.

Be sure to plan to be at our next meeting (December 4) as it is our Christmas Party! Read more about this elsewhere in the Newsletter.
